    identifying user as blind.

  • Reliable. Never runs out of battery.

  • Range of detection is limited to length of cane.

  • Obstacle detection is limited to height which cane is swept.    

  • Not an enjoyable user experience.

Top smart cane competitors are over designed and complicated for the user.  They include sensors, sounds, and vibrations that are obtrusive and interrupt the users day.

  • Increase the confidence of the user.

  • Match reliability of white cane.

  • Detect all obstacles that present risk of collision.

  • Assist in identifying the user as visually impaired.

  • Limit required interaction & feedback to minimize overstimulation.
