Project created in Product Design 4.

PROMPT

Develop a Fish Finder solution that allows for monitoring from anywhere on a sport fisher.

Final Product

The design that I arrived on is a modular system that allows the user to view a main display on the dashboard, and take the mobile device with them in their pocket or on their belt

USER

The design that I arrived on is a modular system that allows the user to view a main display on the dashboard, and take the mobile device with them in their pocket or on their belt.

Bluetooth Device Design

Bluetooth connection allows for device to travel with fisherman to any location on boat, including flybridge. This will reduce the number of trips necessary to the flybridge.

Sportfisher Analysis

After analyzing the anatomy of a California Sport Fisher, I was able to make insights about harm reduction of the user.

Establishing Design Criteria

  • Mobile Must Be Ready At All Times

  • Device Should Be Charging/Charged

  • Device Should Be Out Of Way

KELP PADDYS

KELP PADDYS are chunks of floating kelp that breaks free from larger bodies of kelp and is not attached to the bottom. Kelp paddies float free in the open ocean
